We were lucky enough to have a few days off recently and take out one of our boats Kookaburra 1. After sending people away on relaxing houseboat holidays week in week out its great for us to get out there and enjoy the peace and tranquility of houseboating as well. We headed upstream to the Customs House and enjoyed some great kayaking through fast flowing Seuders creek & then back up Slaneys. Our dog Chewy enjoyed the ride as well sitting up front as captain of the kayak. Of course there was the usual over consumption of beer, wine & food all of which makes houseboating such a treat. We really cant recommend houseboating highly enough and although we may be slightly biased we really do think the section of river that we are on is by far the best in the state. Do yourself a favour and come see it all for yourselves.
